Asit added that he would not disappoint fans of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He added, "Show kisike liye ruka nahi hai. Show sabse upar hai. Aati hai toh bohot acchi hai, yeh toh sone pe suhaaga hai. There was speculation that the makers asked Ami Trivedi to play the role of Dayaben. However, she refused the same thing.
