Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is perhaps one of Bollywood's most talented and sought-after actors today, but has struggled to find people who believe in his talent. He could not even depend on his wife! In an interview with Film Companion's Anupama Chopra, filmmaker Tahira Kashyap revealed what was her honest and very brutal reaction when Ayushmann told her for the first time to become an actor.
"This man, my husband told me that he wanted to be an actor and I literally made fun of you, you know. I have ridiculed him as "Ae shakal dekhi hai? (Did you see your face?) So I did not believe in him. I was very brutal and I was not even shocked, I laughed. And it's the worst reaction anyone gets to make fun of her face, "she said.
She says she is moved by her confidence. "Perhaps in hindsight I feel this wow, this man has the courage to say it. That's what he wants to do and it was probably my way of hiding my own aspirations (becoming a director), "she added. Tahira explained how much she had a hard time making her dreams come true and even said aloud that she wanted to become a filmmaker before pursuing her full-time.

Tahira directed a short film, Toffee, and is currently working on a new film about the stories of five different women. age. The film is produced by the T series and was announced in August.
Breast cancer was also diagnosed in Tahira last year after having undergone a preventive mastectomy. She is currently being treated for this. She shared a powerful picture of her surgical scars on World Cancer Day Monday.
