The actor Taapsee Pannu has a hectic year with several films waiting for release. After playing a hockey player in Soorma and a lawyer in Mulk in 2018, the actor will now be portrayed in the role of a scientist named Kritika Aggarwal in Mangal Mission.

In addition to Akshay Kumar and Taapsee, Mission Mangal is also performed by Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menen. The film should be released in theaters on Independence Day. The film would treat scientists involved in the first Mars Orbiter mission in India.
The main actors in Mission Mangal are Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari, Pannu Taapsee, Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menon.
Taapsee had previously shared her screen space with Akshay in Baby and her spin-off, Naam Shabana, in which she starred.
She was last seen in Manmarziyaan, with Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan. The film was admired by the critics but failed to make the cash registers ring.

Taapsee still has two projects in progress. She will be seen sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan in the movie Sujoy Ghosh, entitled Badla. The two films were seen together for the last time in the award-winning film Pink. She had also signed for a leading role in Tadka, with Nana Patekar, Shriya Saran and Ali Fazal. The movie is late.
Besides movies, Taapsee also ventured into the sport and is co-owner of Pune Seven Aces in the Badminton Premier League.
