Telugu veteran filmmaker, Gutta Bapineedu Chowdhary, no more

After a long illness, veteran filmmaker Gutta Bapineedu Chowdhary died Tuesday morning at his home in Hyderabad. The film fraternity is in shock because of the sudden demise of one of the talented and seasoned filmmakers of the Telugu film industry.

Born on September 22, 1936 in Eluru, Bapineedu began his career as an editor for Vijaya magazine. He has since produced numerous films such as Maga Maharaju, Bhaaryamani, Mahanagaramlo Mayagadu, Hero, Khaidi No 786, the gang leader, Valu Jada Tolu Beltu and Big Boss.
