It goes without saying that Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. After all, it marks the meeting of the duo of successful directors and actors Atlee and Vijay. In addition, the first two posters were so intriguing, revealing the dual role of Thalapathy Vijay as father and football player in the film. According to strong sources from the south, reported by TOI, Bigil could become the most expensive film of Thalapathy Vijay's career. Yes, we are told that the film is shot with a huge budget of about 140 crores and that it could well beat the budget of two of the most expensive films of the South: Rajinikanth's Enthiran and SS Rajamouli's Baahubali. This is not everything. Reports also suggest that Bigil producers have already sold the film's overseas rights at a whopping 220 crores. Of course, all this is speculation, but knowing the buzz surrounding Bigil, we are sure it will be one of the biggest outings of all time.

Bigil was filmed in January and was shot primarily in a stadium built specifically for the stadium at Chennai's EVP Studios. In addition to Thalapathy Vijay, Nayanthara is the lead actress, Jackie Shroff the antagonist. Kathir, Vivek, Daniel Balaji, Anandraj, Indhuja Ravichandran, Varsha Bollamma, to name but a few.
