The film is a remake of the Tamil film Arjun Reddy, starring Vijay Deverakona and Shalini Pandey, released in 2017. Now, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani will play the roles in the movie Kabir Singh. Shahid Kapoor has gone through many physical transformations to fit into his role in the upcoming film. Similarly, Kiara Advani also came out of her comfort zone and portrayed a completely different character in the film, which is very difficult compared to those of her previous films.
Recently, Kiara Advani shared a photo on her Instagram account from Kabir Singh. The actress seems almost unrecognizable on the photo as she looks like a simple girl with braided hair and no makeup. The actress also added a caption with the image with a hashtag that read Preeti. This happens to be the character that the actress portrays in the next movie.

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani had already made together a clip called "Urvashi" in which their chemistry on the screen was appreciated by fans. It remains to be seen if their screen will create the same magic in Kabir Singh or not. The film Kabir Singh was directed by Sandeep Vanga and its release is scheduled for June 21, 2019.
