Rashmika Mandanna, who became known last year by Vijay Deverakonda's sensational film, Geetha Govindam, signed her first film in Tamil. She will be paired with Karthi in an untitled project produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures.
After delivering two consecutive hits to Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and Kadaikutty Singam, who recorded more steps than Raalikanth Kaala last year, Karthi's recent publication, Dev, has bitten the dust at the box office . He is currently shooting for an untitled film directed by the famous Maanagaram, Lokesh Kanagaraj, in Chennai.
Karthi's new film with Rashmika, tentatively titled K19, will be directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, of Remo's fame. "The process of editing a great film for this film is currently taking place in Chennai.In addition to Tamil Nadu, the team has also planned to shoot crucial scenes in Hyderabad," reads a statement. Dream Warrior Pictures ensures that the film will be loved by the family audience as well as entertaining Karthi movies such as Siruthai and Kadaikutty Singam.
The duo Vivek-Mervin was hired to compose the music for this film, whose cinematography will be entrusted to Sathyan Sooryan. Jai (Art), Dhilip Subbarayan (Stunts), Rajeevan (Production Designer), Ruben (Editing) and Aravind Raj Bhaskaran (Executive Producer) are the other technicians on board. The initial preparations are proceeding at a steady pace, filming should begin from the second week of March.
Producers SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures were noted for their films as "Joker", "Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru" and "Aruvi", which performed well at the box office and were hailed by criticism.
