The actress Shruti Marathe, known for her roles in Marathi films such as "Asa Mi Tasa Mi" and 'Premasutra', denounced the bad conduct of a producer with her while she was auditioning a movie.
In an article published on the Instagram page of Humans of Bombay, Marathe explained the problem of casting the sector.
"I met a producer who had offered me a leading role. At first he was a professional, but he quickly started using the words "compromise" and "one night". I could not let that go, so I asked her, "If you want me to sleep with you, who do you sleep with?" He was stunned, "she said.
" I immediately informed others of her behavior and they asked her to leave the project.
Marathe also reminded us how much the wearing of the bikini in a Tamil film had sparked controversy over social media.
"I remember very early my career in the South. movie, I was asked to wear a bikini. I accepted without thinking twice. Questions like "How are you going to shoot?" Or "Is it necessary?" Have not even crossed my mind. I had the opportunity to be in a movie and that's all that mattered.
"Years later, when I gained popularity on a Marathi show, people were watching me and falling on the bikini scene. I was trolled for the way I looked and how it was shot. Do you know how much it hurts your self-esteem? I went away without any barriers, but I was not accepted; I was objectified. I kept working as if it did not bother me, "she said.
The #MeToo movement in India began last year with actress Tanushree Dutta recounting an old allegation against Nana Patekar. This triggered a series of complaints from different areas.
