It takes a brave family to settle in a house that inspired a horror movie. The Conjuring was based on a real incident and a house where disturbing events were reported and where real ghost hunters actually engaged in exorcism. The house now has new owners and they claim that ghosts haunt them now.
Cory Heinzen and his wife Jennifer bought the Harrisville home was built in 1736 after being advertised on an online forum. In a publication on Facebook, they explained why they were so seduced by the house.

The Perrons were staying there in the 1970s when paranormal activity was reported. At first it was fun, but later disturbing and dark incidents, including physical attacks and mysterious diseases, had hit them. It was at this point that paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren arrived to help the Perron family.

The new owner, Cory, is himself a paranormal investigator and says that the long history of the house has not deterred him. He says that strange things continue to happen.
"We had doors that opened, steps and blows. I had a hard time staying alone. I have no feeling of any harm, (but) it is very busy. You can see that a lot of things are happening in the house. "
Cory's wife, Jennifer, says, "This whole trip has been scary – for many reasons other than paranormal – and exciting at the same time. I like that we have the opportunity to share the home with others. "
