Although there is not much known information, it is alleged that she died because of the hanging of a ceiling fan. Annapurna's daughter, Keerthi, is married to a computer engineer working in Bangalore since 2013. Her husband who was in town slept in another room at the time of the suicide.
The suicide allegedly occurred at the Annapurna residence in Banjara Hills. The traumatized husband would have found the body in the morning after waking up. He immediately informed Annapurna who informed the police. Banjara Hills police moved the body for autopsy to Osmania Hospital, state reports. The police also reportedly seized a cell phone and recorded a case for suspicious death.
Reports also indicate that Keerthi has committed suicide because of health problems. They also state that Keerthi lived apart from her husband.
