David Nutter, director of Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 4, revealed why Jon Snow had not caressed his beloved werewolf, Ghost. Read below to find out what David had to say.
Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 4, was a mix of varied emotions while we were caught in a ride of emotions. Although many heartbreaking moments were evoked, such as the fact that Jaime left Brienne behind him to return to King's Landing or even Missandei's death, some complaints were also made. Everyone, anyone, talks about the controversy surrounding Starbucks to the extent that a cup of coffee was found next to Daenerys Targaryen at the celebratory dinner. However, another scene has caused public outrage.
The scene in question was one in which Jon Snow was preparing to leave Winterfell to fight alongside Queen Dany. We saw him make a sincere goodbye to Tormund, Samwell and Gilly. In the sequence, we also saw a ghost torn apart by the battle, which has been alongside his master for a very long time. It might be supposed that Jon would say goodbye worthy of his animal, the werewolf, but that was not the case. Just nodding and asking Tormund to take Ghost with him was enough. Twitterati questioned Jon and made him feel ashamed of not fondling Ghost, who was his best confidant during the most difficult times.
Ghost lost an ear to the battle and Jon could not even say goodbye to him, right ?! #gameofthrones pic.twitter.com/dC3CmLTIGf

When Huffington Post UK interviewed director David Nutter about this stalemate between Jon and Ghost, he said, "Since werewolves are CG creations, we thought it was best to keep it as simple as possible, and I think it was unrolled in a much more powerful way that way. "
