Kalank is one of this year's most anticipated films. Composed of a team including Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur, the Dharma Productions project generated a total of 54.4 billion rupees during the first four days of its release.

The last four days of recipes have shown a decreasing decreasing trend. The film began on April 17 with big numbers and managed to earn Rs 21.60 crore. However, with a steady decline over the next three days, the fourth day's earnings are currently at 9.75 crores of RS. While the film became the biggest hit of 2019, Day 2 dropped by almost 50%.
Apart from Alia and Aditya, Kalank does not seem to satisfy most critics. Some pointed to the unrealistic portrayal of 1940s India as one of the main reasons, while others blamed the average game of the actors.
