Manikarnika: The queen of Jhansi is holding up at the box office, showing virtually no drop from the previous day. The film maintains a trend similar to that of last week, during which weekdays have not dropped much. Co-directed by Kangana and Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi (Krish), the film tells the story of the great Indian fighter of freedom, Rani Laxmibai, of Jhansi. The film, released Jan. 25, will be among the top three women's films in Bollywood.
According to the latest report from BoxofficeIndia.com, the film had a total of two crores of rupees on its twelfth day at the box office. The film has raised a total of Rs. 17.75 crore up to now in its second week. The film has so far managed to collect a total of 74.31 million rupees at the box office in twelve days.
For information, the drama of the time collected a total of 56.56 crores of rupees during its first week.
The film also had a doubled output in Tamil and Telegu but the collections were very limited. The final collections of the film will be perfect for a female film beating all films except "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" and "Raazi", leaving Kangana Ranaut with two of the top three.
