Filmmaker Rohit Shetty paid tribute on Friday to veteran choreographer Veeru Devgan, who died a few days ago, calling him his "guru".
Recalling Devgan for his precious life lessons, Shetty spoke to Instagram and wrote, "It takes real fathers to turn their boys into heroes." I started doing stunts at the age of 16, still strong at age 45. And I know a man who will always be proud of me in heaven is my guru, my father – Veeru Devgan. "
He said that Devgan had him learned to "be honest with his job and that his job would be honest with you" and to take the appropriate security measures "before making a stunt".
Veeru Devgan, who directed action sequences for such films as "Himmatwala", "Mr. India", "Khatron Ke Khiladi", "Phool Aur Kaante", "Dilwale" and "Laal Badshah" died here Monday, age 85.
Along with this message, Rohit shared a video of himself doing a bicycle waterfall in Bangkok, where he is currently shooting for his Akshay Kumar-starrer "Soo Ryavanshi".
