Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, revealed that the first three phases of the Marvel film universe will be collectively referred to as "The Infinity Saga".

The MCU was divided into phases, each ending with a large team of Avengers. In most movies, it is clear to the majority of film series that everything is being built towards a final chapter. Feige points it out in an interview published in the last issue of Empire, where he discusses the conclusion of the realization of more than ten years of filmmaking.

"We wanted to carry out a series of films in a way that has never been done," says Feige about the decision to use the title Infinity Saga. Harry Potter had an end, because there were only a few books, but so did the Lord of the Rings, but we thought that with 22 movies it would not be fun to bring some finality to the screenplay. "

Avengers: Endgame will be the final film of The Infinity Saga, and will bring the story of Thanos and his quest to use the Infinity Glove to a Close. Although not all of the saga's films played a decisive role in Thanos' quest, we did not see our first Infinity stone before the Tesseract film was revealed in the post-credit sequence. at the end of MCU's fourth film, Thor – The saga of infinity seems an appropriate name for the arch of history. It will probably also be a very nice box of 22 films.

The MCU is just as important for the sequel as it is for the present, but it's time to start guessing what the next saga will be. The acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney is now a fact, we will soon see characters from X-Men and Fantastic Four arrive in the MCU. Avengers against X-Men, no matter who?
