Ramesh Bhatkar was suffering from cancer for more A year and a half ago and was under treatment in Mumbai and Pune [19659006] Ramesh Bhatkar, a former Marathi actor, died Monday after a battle with cancer, at the age of 70. The actor, suffering from cancer for more than a year and a half, has made his last breath at a hospital in Mumbai on the occasion of World Cancer Day. He was undergoing treatment in Pune and Mumbai.

"He fought bravely as much as he could, but in the last month he was suffering a lot and we were all worried." Actor Jaywant Wadkar told PTI that he was in intensive care for fifteen days

The last sacraments of Bhatkar will take place at 22:30 in Shivaji Park.

Bhatkar was known for his roles in television series . Order and Hello Inspector . He worked for more than 30 years as an actor in the main Hindi and Marathi films such as Aai Pahije Kucch To Hai and The Superhero Bhavesh Joshi .
