IGN recently spoke with the developers of the game at E3 and they confirmed that the game would include microtransactions. Shaun Escayg, Senior Creative Director of Crystal Dynamics, spoke with IGN about it:
"There will be custom outfits that you can buy in microtransactions."
Vincent Napoli, Chief Combat Designer, added: [19659004] "There are other aesthetic ways to customize your player card and your player experience, but nothing affects the gameplay."
Although it seems that these microtransactions are only there for aesthetic additions, we do not know how much microtransactions will change your character. As it was said that the pay to win and the loot boxes had not been introduced, it is possible that there was no type of buffer or weapon more powerful bought in a situation of microtransaction.
