As a person with no experience in the Pokemon world or the Pokemon Go mobile game of a few years ago, I did not expect a big budget movie adaptation for the big screens a decade after ceasing to be relevant. The film however suffers from tonal inadequacy, because the story (written by four people credited) contains far too much information in record time and does not always perfectly blend the elements of comedy and thriller. . Going too far with the mysterious elements, the film takes itself too seriously, despite the theatrical level of Scooby Doo. The first role of Smith is not enough fun as the film wants. There is, however, the presence of Kathryn Newton, who is so strong that one would like to be the lead role instead of the role of "Smith's partner" to whom she is relegated. And if you're a fan of Pokemon, you're in luck because the movie does not stand in the way of fan service, so connoisseurs will find a treasure trove of Easter eggs in the movie.
