New Delhi, July 19 (PTI) The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has convened a meeting of its Main and Legal Committees tomorrow to decide on its future action after the Ministry of Sports has asked it to do so. to relax the selection standards of the Asian Games.
The Ministry of Sports yesterday asked the AIO to relax the selection standards in some cases "in the best interest of sportsmen and sportsmen" after concerns were raised by various athletes and teams who missed the cup.
The Ministry indicated that the Olympic Authority, in consultation with particular federations, could re-evaluate the decision to send entries if these ineligible disciplines have been operating regularly for six months but have not not done for lack of exposure and at the same time top 4.

The representative of the AIO, however, admitted that it would be difficult to convince the organizers of the Asian Games for late inclusions since the last date of entry was the month of June.
"We will have to make a decision on the department's proposal. But it happened too late. If we decide to send more athletes, whether to accept our request or not, it belongs to the Organizing Committee of the Asian Games, "he said.
