The KO Show – The Smackdown finale before WrestleMania got off to a good start with the KO Show with guests Kevin Owens, A.J. Styles and Randy Orton. It was not as good as the verbal comings and goings that Styles and Orton had a few weeks ago and that really triggered this quarrel. Unfortunately, since then, there has not been much to do. It was a good last way to highlight the problems between them before their match. This should make Styles fans want to see him take the best of Orton Sunday.
Usos & Ricochet & Black vs. The Bar & Nakamura & Rusev – HIT: It was a good game at eight. The idea was to set up a four-way fatal system for WM, which is the punishment for The Usos for package during the glove match that took place last week against the Usos. The tag division on Smackdown is much better than Raw, so it's good that they get a WM match. But the fatal four senses do not seem to me to be a punishment. And I would like it to be clear if Alexa Bliss was doing the match or had just announced it. If she succeeds, she should clearly explain why, as a host, she is empowered to do so.
IIconics – MISS: I have to go back and look again at the contents of IIs in NXT. I just do not remember being so annoying. I do not remember them being so screaming. I remember having a good stub without saying too much with the change of the heat of the channel as at Smackdown. Do I remember badly? Now, whenever they have a microphone, I start reaching for the remote control.
Miz vs. Sanity – MISS: I do not see The Miz as a tough guy who can face three men like Sanity in a fall. Count anywhere match and win pretty easily. All babyfaces do not have to be of this type. I'm not a fan of Sanity. The three wrestlers are not that good, so I'm not worried about their protection. But, it always seemed incredible to me. And I also question the idea of using a specific stipulation in a match to beat another match that will have exactly the same stipulation. This is exaggerated. The best part of all this was when Shane McMahon interrupted the match so the falls would be counted anywhere and the ring announcer started to announce it a second time but Shane gave it up. It was a good time, but the match itself did not work.
Becky Lynch – HIT: The presentation with Becky Lynch standing on the announcement table and making a promotion was unique. One of the reasons that Becky ended up with fans last year is her micro-babyface work, before she develops The Man. Add to that her already excellent skills at the microphone and she really took off as a character and she did a great job here. I would have liked to see her face Ronda Rousey one-on-one. I have no doubt that it would spark much more intense reactions if Charlotte Flair had not been intrigued by such an appalling scenario.
18 Person Tag – MISS: There is no reason to make noise two royal battle WM. They do not have any meaning. Naomi's win last year did nothing for her career. The same can be said of Matt Hardy and Mojo Rawley when they won theirs. It's simply a way to make sure everyone is on the list (except the heavyweights) on the WM show. They are in the pre-exposure to which they belong, so neither one nor the other even matches a PPV. So, why waste time with idiotic stuff like this game?
Joe vs. Ali – HIT: This Hit is for Samoa Joe winning a solid victory against a pretty credible opponent at Mustafa Ali (I ignore WWE's stupidity getting rid of his first name). I really wonder what the WWE plan was for Elimination Chamber and Fastlane if Ali had not been hurt. Kofimania would not have arrived. Ali was supposed to have this strong performance in the glove? Would he have faced Daniel Bryan at Fastlane? Should we have Kevin Owens in the WWE title match at WM?
Contract Signed – HIT: This show that starts well ends well. Bryan and Kofi both played well in speaking of their WWE title match at WM. WWE finally put pressure on Kofi against Bryan instead of Kofi against Vince McMahon. It was clever not to have Vince at all. They spent a lot of time telling the story of Kofi trying to win this one so by the time we got there, they did not have time to tell Kofi's story against Bryan. The signing of the contract was good, but too late. The story is simply about wanting to see Kofi win, which is good, but could be much better.
