Mumbai: On Easter morning, Sri Lanka's main churches and five-star hotels were targeted extremist groups. During the tragic incident in Colombo, 290 people lost their lives and more than 500 were seriously injured. While people around the world have expressed deep emotion and condolences on social media, a Kollywood actress has escaped attack.

Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar on Twitter announced that she was staying in one of the bombed hotels and that she had left a few moments before. the attacks took place.

She wrote: "OMG bombings in Sri Lanka, God be with all I just left Colombo Cinnamon Grand Hotel and the bombing took place, I can not believe that."

Radikaa is known for her roles in such films as Suryavamsam, Theri, Abhilasha, Poojai, Maari and more. Meanwhile, explosions have also hit three five-star hotels in Colombo – Shangri-La, Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury. No group claimed responsibility for Sunday's attacks, but the police have already arrested 24 people.
