The last season of Game of Thrones is unpopular among online critics

At least, with the penultimate episode, a higher thematic objective was revealed. A television series often inflamed by violence showed the consequences of unhindered power and the devastation inflicted on innocent people. The dismantling of King's Landing could have been the incendiary bombs of Tokyo or Dresden. The rape and looting were those of the invasion of the USSR by the Nazis or the Soviet reaction four years later. The war has been seen for what it is.
