A day after Shah Rukh Khan hinted that his son Aryan Khan would make his film debut with the upcoming Disney remake "The Lion King", the creators made an official announcement early this morning.

A few hours later, King Khan himself spoke about his enthusiasm in social media in a tweet that said: "Glad to be part of this trip … a timeless film. This confirmation comes after the father-son duo was seen in the recording studios working together on a secret project. There was not much going on until SRK posted a photo of him wearing an Indian cricket jersey with Mufasa written on his back, while Aryan was sporting one with Simba on his tee.

"The Lion King" is this film that my whole family loves most and holds a special place in our hearts.As a father, I can live a total relationship with Mufasa and the endearing relationship that he shares with his son – Simba, "Shah Rukh said in a statement on Monday.
