The Government of Tamil Nadu State announced the Kalaimamani Awards ceremony to 201 personalities after 8 years, including writers, singers, dancers, musicians and actors, for their timeless contribution to culture from 2011.

Famous Tamil personalities Karthi, Vijay Sethupathi, Prabhu Deva, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Priya Mani and Santhanam are among the few honorees announced for this honor.

It was a happy evening yesterday (28/02/2019), when the TN government announced the list of recipients after eight years, even if it must be awarded each year after the end of the prestigious award of the State in 2010.

The Kalaimamani Awards are given by the Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram (Literature, Music and Theater) to the laureates for their excellence in the field of arts and literature.
