The unfortunate side effect of promoting toys alongside or before an upcoming movie is that they tend to eventually give up on spoilers. This is not always the case, but something as minor as a description of the character will thrill fans and make them guess what to expect. Example: Captain Marvel . Observe.

Disney Shop Describes a Character of the Next Film Captain Marvel whose description is as follows: "Born of an Eternal Titanian, Genis-Vell possesses an indomitable force and uses powerful Nega bands . to channel incredible energy explosions! Now, Genis-Vell is a hero turned naughty in the history of Marvel Comics. Although there is no indication in the past of his presence, this toy description seems to allude to his appearance. Here is the tweet which contained the description:

Now, Disney could always go back and ignore this order in order to keep people guessing. It would not be the first time that it would happen for something related to Captain Marvel . You may remember, at one point, on their site, Jude Law was referred to by Mar-Vell in a description. It's not there anymore. I wonder why.

2018 pbaded too fast. It seems like it was yesterday when the beginning of the New Year was upon us, and the advent of so many superhero movies striking the theaters seemed a dream come true for every fanboy and every fangirl. It's also fun to look back and remember that although we ended up with a huge nine major theatrical superhero movies, we had almost eleven. Unfortunately, Fox delayed Dark Phoenix and The New Mutants to 2019.
Even with these two delayed films, 2018 was still a mbadive year not only in the box -office, but for the continuous advancement of gender on several levels. Whether through the cultural significance of a film like Black Panther or by the exciting animated adventures of Incredibles 2 and Spider-Man: Towards the Thread of the Spider, the exciting stories of superheroes told on the big screen this year are not lacking.
