Netflix's original web series Bard of Blood will be released on September 27, the streaming platform announced on Saturday in a press release. The series is based on Bilal Siddiqi's eponymous novel, starring stars Emraan Hashmi, Vineet Kumar Singh, Sobhita Dhulipala, Kirti Kulhari and Rajit Kapoor.
The series was produced by Ribhu Dasgupta (the films Michael and Te3N and the television series Yudh ), produced by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment Khan. The book speaks of a brilliant intelligence officer who left his teaching position, but who is again mobilized for an important mission.
The official synopsis: "The story speaks of four Indian intelligence officers belonging to the Indian Intelligence Wing (IIW) who are compromised before being able to transmit important information to India. They are captured and about to be decapitated. The stakes are high. Back in India, veteran intelligence Sadiq Sheikh, the manager of the captured agents, realizes that he must conduct a clandestine mission to rescue his men. He reaches out to a former spy and now a Shakespeare teacher, Kabir Anand, a man who knows the terrain and politics of Baluchistan well. Kabir must link the points of the encrypted information he has. The only way for Kabir to get answers is to embark on a perilous journey and finish his unfinished business. "
The Indian web series commissioned by Netflix includes the Sacred Games . ] Ghoul and Leila . The Horror Series Typewriter will be released on the streamer on July 19. A second season of Scared Games is expected later in the year.
