The actress Alia Bhatt has five big projects in her kitten and one of them is Sadak 2 from her father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. Until now, little was known about this sequel to the 1991 film, starring Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt, but a report in Mumbai Mirror revealed details of the plot.
A source close to the film told the daily that the character of Alia was trying to unmask a divine man in the film. "Alia's character wants to expose a fake guru who runs an ashram. She is accompanied by the character of Sanjay (Dutt) in this trip. Sanjay has already started the preparation with Bhatt saab. They start shooting in about two weeks, "said the source.
Mahesh Bhatt said the movie was much more than that. "Sadak 2 speaks of love, loss and redemption. Simplifying a sincere narrative like this one, is falsifying it. You could trivialize the essence of the film by suggesting that Sadak is only that, "he said. He also added that although Gulshan Grover has a role to play in the film, he does not play the character of the god. "We have a great actor playing this role," said Bhatt. He added that he would reveal the name of the actor when he signs the contract.

Sadak 2 is also performed by Aditya Roy Kapur, recently seen with Alia in Kalank's film Karan Johar. The film failed at the box office.
Alia recently talked about working with her father in the movie. She said that although she understood her sensitivity as a father, working with him in a professional organization would be a different "ball game". "It will never be easy, I do not know him as a director, I know him as a father. Working with him as a director will be an entirely different ball game. I am excited. It's an exciting movie, "Alia told PTI. "My father is very quiet about most things. But I still do not know how it will be on the shelves, "she added. Alia revealed that it was Sadak's star, Sanjay Dutt, who convinced Bhatt to return to the presidency of the director. The last Bhatt production was the 1999 Kartoos movie.
"Sanju pushed him this time. I do not have it. He is my father and he is always unpredictable. He did the most unpredictable thing of directing a movie after a long time, "she said. Alia said the film takes up the story of Ravi and Pooja and that she will be a new addition to the story with Aditya. Sadak 2 is due out on March 25th.
