Jasleen Royal, singer to the glory of Love You Zindagi, says it takes a series of projects to make a project a success.

"After the release of the song Love You Zindagi, I had a lot of love. People of all age groups know the song. They started to recognize me after this song, but it would not be fair to call it a landmark project.

"I do not believe in big projects – it takes a series of projects to come up with a big project – I do not believe in overnight success," Jasleen told IANS.

The 27-year-old debuted in the Bollywood music industry with Sonam Kapoor starrer Khoobsurat . Later, she lends her voice to film songs like Philauri, dear Zindagi, Baar Baar Dekho and now Gully Boy and Akshay Kumar-starrer Kesari .
Before going to B-Town, she had released three singles: Panchhi Ho Javan, Mai Ni and Din Shagna Da. At first, she remembered how she was saving money through her concerts to release her first single. "I'm grateful for the results." If I think back to my first single, Panchhi Ho Javan, which was a zero-budget song, I still remember how I'd usually save money. In my concerts I would get Rs 7,000 to 8,000 from my concerts and then I saved it to record my first single.

"I put it (the song) on Youtube. It has touched a lot of people in the industry. I then had an offer for Khoobsurat (Preet) and so it was that one thing drove another. It was not a night shift. It was a gradual process.

Jasleen had also appeared in the first season of the reality show India's Got Talent . She then called herself a female band because she could play different musical instruments while singing

"I find it funny and interesting how I got the tag! Kirron Kher mam called it so when I was a candidate on India's Got Talent and that it remained with me, "she added.
