New Delhi: Bhojpuri's popular star, Dinesh Lal Yadav, aka Nirahua, joined the Bharatiya Janta party (BJP) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The actor in the presence of the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow, officially joined the party.

Nirahua is a prominent singer and actor of Bhojpuri with a strong fan base in the north of India. He has worked in several films and was hailed for his performances. He was last seen in films based on the country's nationalist spirit, such as "Border" and "Sher-E-Hindustan", among others.
In addition to Nirahua, another big celebrity from Bhojpuri will be in the spotlight. The elections are Ravi Kishan. The superstar will contest the elections but the suspense hangs over his constituency.

Elections will be held in seven phases, beginning on April 11, 2019. The countdown will be May 23rd.
