Twinkle Khanna is proud as a daughter that her mother and veteran actress, Dimple Kapadia, at age 61, got a role in a Christopher Nolan film.

Dimple was chosen for the upcoming spy thriller of the famous Hollywood director Tenet . The film will also feature Robert Pattinson and Michael Caine, and will be shot in seven countries, including India.

Several Bollywood celebrities encouraged Dimple to land the role. Anil Kapoor, who played in the American series 24, called his cast "phenomenal", while filmmaker Anurag Kashyap tweeted "So cool … Dimple Kapadia in a film by Chris Nolan … Wow."
