Ramesh Bhatkar, a former Marathi actor, died at the age of 70. He gave his last sigh to Elizabeth Hospital Mumbai. Ramesh Bhatkar had been fighting cancer for a year.

Ramesh Bhatkar started his career in the theater, his piece 'Tears coulait' was appreciated by critics and fans. Some other important pieces in which he played are "Some time before", "Aap takheheheheheel", "Rahu Ketu", "Mukta". He made his debut in the Marathi film with "Chandoba Chandobas Bhagalas Ka" in 1977. He then worked in several films like "Ashtavinayak", "World Kari Salam", "Your Manasan".

Last year, at the 98th All India Marathi Natya Sammelan, Ramesh Bhatkar was awarded the "Jeev Gaurav" Award. Even at seventy, Bhatkar's zeal for his work did not diminish. The signs of the injured people have never been seen on his face. A few months ago, he played in "Hey Mein Me" and "My Husband Suddhavyavati".
