After living together for five years, the couple is married on October 16, 2012 during a private ceremony.
Recently, Kareena talked about her life, her relationship with Karishma, Saif and her maternal journey. The actress also spoke about the fact that it was Saif who had questioned her mother about their decision to live together. The star of Veere Di Wedding said: "He is 10 years older than me and 2 children, but for me it was just Saif – he helped me heal and love me myself. Perhaps it was the fact that we were so different – he was more private and not "Bollywoodized", but I imbued him with it.I learned to balance things and I did not let them reach me.We were going out together for a while, when he said that he was not 25 years old and could not take me home every day, so he told my mom, "I want to spend the rest of my life with her. We want to live together. "My mom was cool with that, it's so easy with him, even when we decided to get married, we felt good."
Find out what Kareena had to to say about his life and his trip to Bollywood:
"When I got home after the school, Karisma had just started playing. I was impressed by her – I remember her in "Dil Toh Pagal Hai", so pbadionate. She's held with such pride through everything; watching it made me want to act too. So when my time came, she taught me to go through this industry as a woman. It started very well – I made incredible movies. But for a year, I did not work. I felt as if my career was over; I've been told to "reinvent," to become a size 0. Everyone is experiencing a lull in his career. But as an actor, it's worse, there are so many eyes on you! During my life, I was lucky to be able to count on people who supported me fully! So, just when I thought I was falling, Saif caught me. I had met him before, but while we were shooting Tashan, something changed. I wore my heart on my sleeve! He was so charming; I fell for him hook, line and lead. I remember that during the shooting in Ladakh and Jaisalmer, we went for long bike rides for a while solo. We would like beauty, have good conversations and just a link! He is 10 years older than me and 2 children. But for me, he was just Saif – he helped me heal and love me myself. It may be the fact that we are so different – he is more private and not "bollywoodized", but I imbibed him. I've learned to balance things and not let them reach me. We had been dating for a while, when he said he was not 25 and could not keep me home every night. So he said to my mother, "I want to spend the rest of my life with her. We want to live together. My mother was cool with that. It's so easy with him. Even when we decided to get married, we felt good. A few years later, I was blessed with our son, Taimur. Motherhood is the greatest thing that has happened to me. Taimur is part of me, I can not stay an hour without him. He is always with me wherever I am. It makes me want to work harder every day. I am in a stage of my life where I do not have to choose between career and family. I do both. I am an actor, but through all the ups and downs, I have been a sister, a wife, a mom and none of these roles have deterred me. In fact, it put me on the right path. My dreams have grown – there is still a lot to do. As an actor and as a woman. "
On the labor front, Kareena recently concluded filming the good news of Akshay Kumar. She will now start shooting for Irrfan's Angrezi Medium and simultaneously for Takht's Karan Johar. The multi-network project includes important roles for Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
