Can the gentleman of a prominent man contain an entire movie? The answer lies in the new Tiger Shroff-starrer in town. Shroff has a sympathetic quality about him, but his facial muscles remain more or less stationary throughout sophomore which, I suppose, might be considered appropriate given that the plot itself even has not moved since Siddharth Malhotra and Varun. Dhawan has played a trophy with Alia Bhatt in Student of the Year (SOTY) in 2012.
This film was directed by Karan Johar, and whatever his failures – the most important being that one Bhatt was underused in the acting talent game and reduced it to a Barbie – at least she was kind of Malhotra, the heat of Malhotra, Dhawan's emerging actress talents, the trio's undeniable charisma and a superficial entertainment factor. The sequel, produced by Johar and directed by Punit Malhotra ( I Hate Love Storys ), claims to be about two girls and a boy but does not really care about girls and boy, well, he is interpreted by Shroff who can not save his life nor a movie.
SOTY 2 is centered around the very very middle clbad Rohan Sachdev (Shroff), star athlete of the weak front Pishorilal Chamandas College, and his rivalry with the very rich Manav Singh Randhawa (Aditya Seal) of very pretentious college Saint Teresa, located not far from there. When Rohan defeats Manav unexpectedly in a track event, the table is ready for a clash in their personal and student life that will culminate in the annual Dignity Cup tournament between the Dehradun and Mussoorie colleges, which will also decide the winner of the Student trophy of the year.

You know that women count even less for SOTY 2 than for SOTY 1 when the villain has promised to the nice boy that at the end of the fight he would have the trophy on one arm and the girlfriend on the other on the other, and his attitude echoes the attitude of the film itself, which treats their female colleagues as prizes to be won and lost, nothing more. The irrelevance of women is also emphasized by the fact that the student of the year is a battle between eight colleges, of which we know that at least two are mixed, but the competitions presented are all reserved for boys. The girls are not even in the running.
Analyze SOTY 2 primarily on the basis of his gender apathy would take him too seriously. What he should be judged on is his blandness, his authenticity and his poor interpretation. Snapshot is stacked with snapshots in this non-original scenario.

Tara Sutaria who plays Rohan's girlfriend, Mridula, has a lukewarm personality, but Ananya Pandey, incarnated as a naughty girl, Shreya, has a X factor that moves her forward. pbaded the layers of brilliance in SOTY 2 . Both characters are initially considered important but are in fact marginal. Ms. Pandey (daughter of actor Chunky Pandey), gracious and striking, deserves more than that.
Aditya Seal acts better than Shroff but his screen is somewhat dull, which leaves me to think that his role has not been entrusted to the TV actor Abhishek Bajaj. film debuts here as a teammate kabaddi of Rohan. Bajaj gives a much bigger impression than Seal in second place.
Even the choreography reveals nothing extraordinarily original. Vishal-Shekhar, generally cheerful, also presents a generic soundtrack that does not do much, even with the remixes of pretty old songs from Hindi movies in a first dance.
There are certain elements of the plot in SOTY 2 that might have been able to bear fruit had they been explored by a better writer, such as the point of story start telling the story of a boy who dreams of his girlfriend without realizing any. It's a reversal of what we see in real male-female relationships and who knows where it could have been taken. However, the screenplay is so concerned about bringing men to the fore that the point is misleading before being referenced again briefly in the middle and at the end, thus adding little.

Clbadroom struggles among youth in educational institutions have great potential, as we know from the memorable memorable of Mansoor Khan, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander in the early 1990s.
