After having published the poster of "Milan Talkies", the film's directors have released the trailer of their film taking place in Uttar Pradesh. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the film starring Ali Fazal and Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles. Shraddha is a popular name in the south.

The trailer opens on a broad shot showing a single-screen cinema, while Ali enunciates Dilip Kumar's memorable "Mughal-e-Azam" dialogue to a modest audience seated at inside while illuminating his face. As the trailer progresses, we learn that "Milan Talkies" is the story of a future director, portrayed by Ali. The film tells the story of a wrestler who wants to become the greatest filmmaker in India, how his life revolves around film and how he falls in love with the film style.
