Kee Baon Hai Yeh A Dinon is one of my favorite TV shows on television, alongside Radhakrish. One of the reasons I love YUDKBH is that it is based in the 90s. This does justice to the times, in terms of content. On top of that, he hits me with such nostalgia, thanks to the songs played in the show. Not to mention, the characters, the writing, everything is as perfect as possible at the time. The first episode begins with Naina, a teenager who walks well in memory, revisiting her school in Ahmedabad.
It brings us back to the story of a 16-year-old Naina who lives with her chacha, chachi and two cousins, Preeti and Pooja. This brings us back to the time when owning a TV was a huge deal. In fact, one of those moments when you could not really stand up to the elders of your house and tell them what you think is right or wrong. The dynamics of each relationship were so different from today's, and that's exactly what I love to watch in the series. Do not even start romance because it makes me want to fall in love again.
Oh, that was the time to write letters, eye contact and even a smile could say millions of things. Teenage romance has become so complicated and so demanding nowadays that it makes you see how simple and beautiful things were at the time. Writing letters, writing your name on a piece of paper next to the person you've got a crush on, secret meetings, anything about romance in the 90's has been shown so brilliantly. It is one of the best written TV shows at the present time and I can not thank enough the show organizers.
Yes, Sameer and Naina are married and now have many challenges to overcome. but, do I miss my high school romance? The first meeting between Sameer and Naina, when they do not even see each other, is one of my favorites. The narration makes this love story a lot more interesting. I would certainly see the whole show again just for the sake of seeing it. Randeep Rai's youthful charm and Ashi Singh's nervous and wonderful presence on the screen in the first episodes brought him a million dollars.
