T Irish police raided the villa of a Saudi businessman where, according to prosecutors, Saudi agents may have concealed the dismembered body of Jamal Khashoggi, said Monday authorities.
Investigators went to the mansion and adjoining property in Yalova Province, south of Istanbul, as part of the ongoing search for the body of the murdered Washington Post columnist.
The villa would belong to Mohammed al-Fawzan, a Saudi businessman. Istanbul's chief prosecutor said that on 1 October, one day before the death of Mr. Khashoggi, a member of the Saudi squad made up of 15 Saudi members, called Mr. al-Fawzan.
"The Attorney General's office believes that this phone call was about the disappearance or concealment of body parts of the murdered journalist, Jamal Khashoggi," the prosecutor said in a statement.
