) Capitol police arrested nearly 600 people on Thursday after hundreds of women have demonstrated in a Senate building against the treatment of migrant families by President Donald Trump. Among them were a member of the Washington State Congress, said the deputy on Twitter.
The protests took place in the country following the policy of separation of immigrant families from the Trump administration.
In the midst of relentless daily images of helpless immigrant children separated from their parents and children. Placed in fenced enclosures, the women were seated on the floor of the 90-foot-tall atrium of the Hart Office Senate building. Sitting around Alexander Calder's black metal sculpture "Mountain and Clouds", they shouted slogans and encouraged a handful of fierce legislators – all Democrats – who waded through the crowd.

The sit-in of protesting women was organized by two Liberal groups, Women's March and the Center for Popular Democracy. The action lasted more than two hours.
In a written statement, the Capitol Police said that 575 people had been accused of demonstrating illegally inside the building. Police said that those arrested were released after being treated.

Winnie Wong, political advisor for the March for Women, said the fervor of the crowd would result in: need to see the ballot box in November, "when control of Congress will be at stake."

Democrat Jeff Merkley of Oregon, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Edward Markey of Mbadachusetts also appeared in front of the crowd. "These people are fighting for the fundamentals of our nation, and I applaud them," said Merkley in an interview.
Under Trump's "zero tolerance" policy, the government began to prosecute all country migrants without authorization. Trump has ended its policy of removing children from their detained parents from public pressure, but around 2,000 of them are still being held, and many families say they do not know how to find them.
The sit-in comes two days after another demonstration of liberal political energy in which political neophyte Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 28, ousted the representative of 10 MPs Joe Crowley in a Democratic primary for its headquarters in New York.
Hundreds of people gathered at a federal court in Brownsville, Texas, near the US-Mexico border in the Rio Grande Valley.
Dozens of people closed a government meeting in Michigan to protest a contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. And eight people were arrested outside of an ICE building in Portland, Oregon, which was shut down due to a 24-hour protest.
