As reported earlier this week, via the Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE spoke with former WWE Champion Batista about the possibility of playing a game at WrestleMania 35 in April. Batista has also received an offer from All Elite Wrestling as they have interest in bringing him in, possibly for the AEW Double or Nothing event in May.
In an update, PWInsider reports that The Animal met with WWE Headquarters officials in Stamford, CT last Thursday. It is not known yet how this meeting went, but the initial report indicated that Batista was "50/50 of his return at this stage", based on the state of progress. discussions with WWE. and teased a match with Triple H., Evolution's partner. This match could take place at WrestleMania 35 as Triple H was allowed to resume training in mid-January after being torn to the pectoral muscles at the WWE Crown Jewel last November. It is expected that Batista will begin shooting the movie "Dune" in March this year, but that does not rule out a record return.
