In the summer debate before the Television Television Association Association, Amazon announced JD Payne and Patrick McKay would write and direct their series The Lord of the Rings . Looks like Amazon wants Jackson to be involved. And why would not they? Jackson's movies have brought in billions of dollars. He would also be very well placed to negotiate, so maybe they do not want to show their hand too much.
"He knows what's going on," admitted Albert Cheng, co-director of the television channel for Amazon Studios.
The series The Lord of the Rings would tell new stories about Middle-earth. . It could take the form of a video, perhaps telling the adventures of Aragorn before his arrival. At least that's a rumor. There was no confirmation today.
"JD Payne and Patrick McKay and their team are making great progress," Salke said. "We have set the social handles for the series and there will be more news coming soon."
