We always emphasize the importance of social media at San Diego Comic-Con: it's a way to keep in touch, to know when your favorite booth is doing random goodies, and more. But aside from social media such as Twitter and Facebook, there are some mobile apps that can make your life a lot easier during SDCC. So let's take a look.
1. International Official Application Comic-Con
Download: iOS
Download: Android
If you have not downloaded it yet, you should really . It's not the best technologically advanced application you've ever seen, but it's a longer light-year than it was – and it's incredibly useful. It contains the five-day schedule. You can search for it, click to read the full description of the panel, etc. In addition, there is a list of exhibitors (who click on them, shows you exactly where they are on the map!), Maps, some details on the outdoor sites, and more.
2. Cloud Compbad – Application of Metropolitan Transit System
Download: iOS
Download: Android
We have written on this very handy application the other week, but if you plan to use the system San Diego's streetcar around, that's the way to do it. The MTS not only offers discounts to participants at Comic-Con (unlimited use of $ 5 per day), it also offers a map of all stops and real-time information.
3. UBER
Download: iOS
Download: Android
If you're going anywhere other than the Comic-Con shuttle or tram, you'll also find UBER. They will take you to almost anywhere you want and will tell you the price in advance (which is usually much cheaper than a taxi). It's also a great way to get to the Comic-Con Museum, as there will be no shuttles this year.
