If movies can bring an actor to the top of its success, there are often disappointments on the way. Varun Dhawan's latest outing, Kalank, did not have the expected results at the box office and the actor, whose performance was applauded, said he was touched. "The film (Kalank) was not accepted by the public because it was a bad film and we all failed collectively," says Varun, who starred alongside actors Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit Nene , Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt in the film.
"Making a movie is a team job. It is wrong to blame the director and the producer. And as a member of the team, I will also be responsible. The movie let people down. We collectively reviewed the reasons why it did not work. Personally, failure was important. I wanted failure to affect me because otherwise it means I do not like my job, "he added.

But Varun does not have time to linger in the past. He is eagerly awaiting the release of various films that are expected to be released next year, including Street Dancer 3D and the remake of his father's comedy, Coolie No.1. It's interesting to note that from the beginning, Actor is badured that his career a mix of genres.
So, how does he maintain this kind of variety? "I choose movies that I know will please me the most. If I do not enjoy it, it will not show up on the screen. I play a street dancer in my next because I like dancers in real life. If I want something serious, I do something like October (2018). With comedy, I want to work with David Dhawan (filmmaker, also father of Varun) because he is the best in the country. His experience will help me as an actor, "Varun said.
Looking at his choices, it seems that the actor also understands very well what the public wants, what even his colleagues appreciate at home.

"I am first a movie lover and then an actor. I'm here to entertain the audience and everything else comes second. Everyone is wrong sometimes, even me, but you have to learn [from it]"he says, adding that he had taken over his father's things.
" He has a very good interpretation of the movies and he understands what the public wants. Another thing I learned is that the length of a movie must always be under control. If you do not contain the length, the audience will not forgive it. After all, it's about their time and money. I want to make movies that take Indian family entertainment to the fore, "he concludes.
