Varun Dhawan played an affable type to Sui Dhaaga and it turned out he was very friendly in real life. The actor, who accompanied his father and director David Dhawan on Monday to the polling station during the fourth phase of the 2019 elections in Lok Sabha, was clicked to help an elderly woman climb the steps of the polling station.

Dressed in blue pants, a white t-shirt and a cap. The lady, dressed in a pink sari and a belt around her waist, looked at the actor smiling while he was holding her hand. Her family members also watched the two with a big smile.

A host of big names from Bollywood came to vote for Amitabh Bachchan with family members, including his son Abhishek, his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai and his wife Jaya Bachchan. The actor Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, Shilpa Shetty, Urmila Matondkar, Priety Zinta, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi also voted.

The latest version of Varun, Kalank proved to be a box-office failure. The multi-starrer had a host of big names including Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit besides Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapoor. We will then see Varun in Street Dancer, the third part of the series ABCD

Varun interpreted the character of Zafar and was paired with Alia's Roop in the film. Although the film was criticized by critics, Varun was commended for his intense and deeply felt portrait of Zafar. The songs from the movie – First Clbad and Ghar More Pardesiya – were also appreciated.
