Varun Dhawan on Kalank published 9 days before Avengers Endgame: "There is enough room for both" | Bollywood

The next multi-starrer Kalank by actor Varun Dhawan will open on April 17, a week before the mbadive Marvel Avengers: Endgame project on screens around the world. When asked if he thought the superhero movie would hinder Kalank's chances at the box office, Varun responded that the public was kind enough to go see the two films in theaters.

"Our film is released nine days ago (Avengers), even internationally, we get a big release. It takes a long time for Kalank to be seen and appreciated by people. Nowadays, if people like a movie, it works. So, if they like Kalank, it will continue to work. He was speaking at a special event from Kalank to Ishq 104.8 FM, Mumbai.

He also denied being part of the sequel to the hit horror comedy Stree. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree won the box office last year and producer Dinesh Vijan announced that he would release a sequel as part of his ambitious horror comedy franchise project.

It was reported that Varun would be in the lead of the film, which originally featured Rajkummar Rao. When asked if he would be part of Stree 2, the actor told reporters, "No, that's wrong."
