Several Bollywood celebrities attended the prayer meeting of actor Ajay Devgn's father and action master Veeru Devgan on Thursday. Veeru had died of a heart attack Monday after being hospitalized for respiratory problems. Ajay arrived with his wife and actor Kajol, his daughter Nysa and his mother Veena Devgan at Mandapam Hall, ISKCON temple in Juhu for the ceremony. An emotional Nysa was seen in tears while she was comforted by her father.

Among the participants in the prayer meeting were Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek, Raveena Tandon, Prem Chopra, Suresh Oberoi and Suniel Shetty with his wife Mana.

Many Bollywood celebrities had paid their last rites. Veeru Devgn late Monday. Kajol had collapsed in the arms of Aishwarya Rai while meeting her. Meanwhile, veteran mother and actor Tanuja de Kajol was operated on diverticulitis at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai the same day. Kajol was seen visiting Tanuja on Tuesday night. An insider told PTI that she would remain hospitalized "at least a week".
Anil Kapoor paid tribute to Veeru Devgan, who pbaded away today, by dedicating the 32nd anniversary of his film, Mr. India. He shared a collage of film footage with himself, late Sridevi and late Amrish Puri. Anil pointed out, highlighting Veeru's contribution to the making of the film, "#India was made iconic by her child-friendly action scenes and Veeru's Midas touch. Amitabh Bachchan had also written a sincere note on his blog.
