Vicky Kaushal's film in full 'Josh'; earns Rs 128 crore

Uri-The Surgical Strike, from debut director Aditya Dhar, is the most successful film box office so far this year. Vicky Kaushal-starrer Uri, with a small budget of 45 crores of rupees, earned 128.59 crores of rupees in just two weeks. Uri went through the business of Raazi and Stree on the 13th day of the week. The film would probably beat Badhaii Ho this weekend, writes film critic and economic badyst Taran Adarsh.

Inspired by the actual events that led to the Indian Army's surgical attack against Pakistani activists in Kashmir (PoK) in 2016, Uri became the most profitable film in the budget category means. By the way, Uri: The Surgical Strike is also Yami Gautam's most profitable film in his career so far.

Uri won more than the other major releases of January, such as Emraan Hashmi's Why Cheat India and Emraan Hashmi's Accidental Prime Minister. Uri collected more than 70 crores of rupees the first weekend and 37 crores of Rs 37 the second weekend

According to Taran Adarsh, Vicky Kaushal's film will not slow down. Uri: The surgical strike hit the box office on January 11 and raised more than Rs 8 million on Day 1 of its publication.
