Uri of Aditya Dhar The Surgical Strike, the first Bollywood release in 2019 that has also become the best of the genre of the year, has now found a place on IMDb's list of best Indian films. Rated after the Anand clbadics of Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna, Kamal Haasan's Drishyam (Malayalam) of Mohanlal and Nayakan (Tamil), Uri is the fourth Indian film and the second Hindi film on the list.
According to a report in Livemint, "IMDb has selected a list of the top 250 films in India based on a weighted average of user ratings. At least 5,000 users voted in all the films on this list, with the votes of normal users having more weight. "

Uri got a score of 8.6 while Rajesh Khanna-Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Anand is rated 8.7. Nayakan and Drishyam are also rated at 8.6. Amol Palekar's Golmaal (8.5%), Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday (8.5%) and Andhadhun (8.4%) are among the other Hindi films in the top 10 on the list.

URI is based on a surgical strike conducted by the Indian Army in 2016 in terrorist camps in Pakistan in retaliation for the terrorist attack perpetrated against a military camp at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir.
