The group of boys made its first of two appearances in the episode hosted by Emma Stone shortly after midnight. First, there was a performance of the band's latest single, "Boy With Luv". Another success, "Mic Drop", followed.
Trained in South Korea in 2013, BTS – including members Jin, J-Hope, RM, Suga, Jimin, V and Jungkook – made their American TV debut in November 2017 at the American Music Awards (to watch right here). The group will soon begin the North American part of its "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" world tour, which begins Saturday, May 4 with a two-night stint at Los Angeles' famous Rose Bowl.
SNL This 44th season has hosted an eclectic group of musical guests – including, but certainly is not limited to: Kanye West, Travis Scott, Paul Simon, Maggie Rogers , Ella Mai, Mumford & Sons, Sara Bareilles and Halsey (who exercised a dual duty as host and musical act). BTS will be followed by Shawn Mendes, who is to occur when SNL veterinarian Adam Sandler will be the host (for the first time!) May 4.
