Dubai: Indian captain Virat Kohli and fast thrower Jasprit Bumrah took the top spots in the ICC ODI rankings released on Tuesday. With 899 points, Kohli retained pole position while vice-captain Rohit Sharma remained in second place.
Rohit's opening partner, Shikhar Dhawan, also improved his standings and became the third Indian in the top 10 by placing eighth. He had already been placed in ninth place from the previous list. The former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is ranked 20th in the last list.
Three Indian bowlers also took first place with Bumrah in first place with 841 points. While Kuldeep Yadav retained his third place, Yuzvendra Chahal was third in fifth place.
Afghanistan's Rashid Khan, with 353 points, is currently the highest ranked player among the world's cricketers.
In the overall team clbadification, India, with 121 points, remains second behind England, with 126 points.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar also gained nine places to rank in the top 20. Rohit Sharma gained three places and finished seventh, while Shikhar Dhawan gained five places to finish 16th.
