Vivek Oberoi gets police protection 24 hours a day

Mumbai police granted 24-hour protection to Vivek Oberoi until further notice. SpotboyE.com says that Oberoi is guarded to ward off any unwanted incident that could generate the anti-Modi brigade, since it played Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the PM Narendra Modi film directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sandip Ssingh and Anand Pandit, due out Friday.

We found Oberoi about 9 pm after the screening of PM Narendra Modi at Sunny Super Sound, Juhu. The actor looked calm and composed and we wonder if it was a brave front, but the situation outside the theater before the first was quite disturbing. A police car with a lot of police officers – some in uniform and others in plainclothes – patrolled the theater right at the entrance to Oberoi.

We talked to the plainclothes agent Bairagi, who was actually in the compound of Sunny Super Sound. Bairagi said, "We do not know how long we're going to be asking to protect Mr. Vivek Oberoi, but yes, we've been forced to keep him safe."

It is not known if Oberoi received threats. and filed a complaint or the police simply take a precautionary measure.
