Goldust made his WWE debut in 1995, not to mention a small break from the company, he was able to maintain and transform that character to stay on WWE television. Now, he has to say goodbye to the character who belongs to the WWE.
Dustin Rhodes asks for his release for the WWE. He was very candid about his intentions and thoughts in an online statement, but he also had to say goodbye to his character from Goldust.
Rhodes published a small video on Instagram in which he put his own Goldust mask in a chest with other goods from Bizarre One's past. This may seem like a sad moment, but sometimes you have to say goodbye before new opportunities can open.
Rhodes is about to face his brother Cody Rhodes at Double Or Nothing on May 25th. He will perform as Dustin Rhodes while he left his Goldust character behind him in the WWE. It was still a fantastic race that lasted much longer than most people would have ever thought of when he started cutting these androgynous promos in 1995.
